Youth Empowerment 13- 19 years
A residential skill building and youth empowerment retreat with youth of middle and high school age. The Village is held at Espousal Retreat Center in Waltham Massachusetts which allows easy access for parent visits. This retreat will focus on teaching, building and enhancing communication, negotiation, empathy and collaboration skills using fun, interactive and engaging activities. These are necessary life skills that can help youth to navigate life successfully.
Join a group of youth and experts for a powerful 5 day experience that teaches skills that:
-Build Leadership
-Address Conflict e.g. Bullying, Clear Communication, -Understanding Anger
-Address and Cope with stress
-Give alternatives to violence
-Help you to empathize and be compassionate
JAMAICA - EASTER or SUMMER
Youth Violence Prevention/Peace Building 12- 21 years
A residential project to address broad issues of violence prevention and peace building among youth between the ages of 12- 21 years. Multicultural Village Jamaica will take place in Port Antonio, Portland, Jamaica. It's main goal is to address the culture of violence and teach youth to be active peace doers through experiential workshops,out of the box service learning/volunteering and dialogues.
