Youth Empowerment 13- 19 years
A residential Peace Building and Violence Prevention youth empowerment retreat with youth of high school age. The Village is held at a retreat center in Massachusetts which allows easy access for parent visits. This retreat will focus on building and enhancing communication, negotiation, empathy and collaboration skills (necessary life skills that youth need to navigate life and deal with conflict and violence and transform conflict and prevent violecne at all levels). JAMAICA - EASTER or SUMMER
Youth Violence Prevention/Peace Building 12- 21 years
A residential project to address broad issues of violence prevention and peace building among youth between the ages of 12- 21 years. Multicultural Village Jamaica will take place in Port Antonio, Portland, Jamaica. It's main goal is to address the culture of violence and teach youth to be active peace doers through experiential workshops and service learning/volunteering and dialogues.
